I am in receipt of your letter from August 1, 2023. I am working with Trevis to resolve the outstanding punch list items identified in your letter. In the interim, please confirm your availability to discuss your concerns. Please note that much of the delays caused on the above-referenced project were due to the city’s strict requirements relating to the drainage of your property. A&S is ready willing and able to finish the work on your project.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Do you have availability this Friday after 11 AM? If not, please let me know a day and time that works for you next week.
In the meantime:
The delays were absolutely not caused by “the city’s strict requirements”.
I attaching the city’s “Pool Packet”, the latest version dated 12/30/21. This literally outlines all of the requirements that A&S needed to follow. This has been available on the city’s website since before I signed on with Anthony and Sylvan. I am also attaching various correspondence which support my position.
Further:
- I was assured by my A&S sales person that they had worked with the city of Piney Point before
- It took 6 months to get the initial plans approved
- The plumbing company (EDU) , for reasons unknown, decided NOT to follow the approved plan that took 6 months
- Since they didn’t follow the approved plans, the engineers needed to create new plans to account for the work that was done
- After several more months the new plans were approved but the plumbers still couldn’t follow the plans
- In May of this year Anthony and Sylvan brought in new plumbers to carry out the work. This was done relatively quickly as they needed to confirm that the work matched up with the plans and remediate any deficiencies.
Many items on the “punch list” have been taken care of since the initial email to Trevis on August 1, 2023. Today the driveways and walkway were repaired and I had the side yard artificial turf repaired by the original installer.
I also signed the extended warranty agreement.
At this point I am requesting:
The $25,000 I had asked for and an additional $1500 for the turf repair.
I am unavailable this Friday. I am available on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Please confirm what time works for you.
I will make it work. I have put it on my calendar. Thank you for working with me.
I am working on this. Please let me know what the additional things are. I will touch base with you on Tuesday after Labor Day.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Because our yard was completely torn up beyond anything that could be considered normal, we have to redo our completely sprinkler system.. Unsure of cost.
I mentioned previously but apart from the amount we discussed on our call, this and the previous item ^ should be reimbursed – repairing our turfed yard which I believe was $1500.
And just as an extra annoyance as this is how it’s been with our project manager since day 1. We wanted him to install the Polaris pool vacuum. My husband told him specifically when he would be home yesterday, and rushed home at the agreed time. Luis showed up (apparently), installed the Polaris and then texted my husband and said he just left our home. He said he called. But he didn’t knock on the front or back door, which by now he knows our dogs would have alerted us to.
Let me know if you need me to resend the “war zone” pictures.
I am working on a response and request a bit more time to finalize.
